Our mission is to provide underserved
youth and adults in New York City with educational art programs that build
self-esteem and teach new skills.
Did you know volunteer time is currently valued at over $20 an hour?
No matter how you spend your time volunteering it is a valuable donation!
We rely on the generosity of volunteers to achieve our goal of helping to enhance the lives of people facing adversities through the creative arts. Volunteers' love and creativity bring transformational healing to these people, and in return volunteers experience unforeseen benefits from their service!

The programs and services Gifted Hands (GH) offers is a testament to the vision of one paid staff person and the generosity and ingenuity of hundreds of volunteers!
Gifted Hands is comprised of volunteers from all walks of life who possess a great variety of skills. Artistic ability or background is encouraged but not required to volunteer.
